A Day In The Life: Introvert College Sophomore Year

As you all may know, school is back in for most everyone by now, and It’s now my second year of college; sophomore year… So I thought I would make a day in my life blog because it seemed fun. I have very different schedules at school on different days of the week, so ill just be doing what my Monday’s normally look like. This is actually my longest day because I have school from 8 am to 5:45 pm. This means I don’t make it home until around 6:15 because I live 30 minutes away from my school. So lets get started.

I normally wake up at 5:30, get dressed, do my hair, brush my teeth, and go back to sleep for 30 more minutes. By the time my 30 minutes is up, it’s about time for me to start packing up and heading out to the car around 7 am. Then I drive 30 minutes listening to my favorite music, chilled RnB on spotify. I normally arrive at school 30 minutes before my class starts and sit in my car so I can eat and get in any studying I need to do before.

8:00 am My first class, also my hardest class… physiology and anatomy. I’ll just say it, I don’t really have friends in this class. Although, I do know the people, just not friends. Most of the class is pretty much just listening and taking notes for about an hour and a half. The teacher is really good too!

9:15 am I either go to the library complex to study, which I usually always do, or I go to the student lounge. I have’t really been feeling the lounge lately because it’s always freezing in there and the people are always talking to loud. I usually study whatever needs to be done until about 11 am. So, i’m here for a while.

11:00 am lunch. I usually eat my lunch in the car. Well actually I always eat my lunch in the car, except the first week of school with my friend, then she dropped out… It’s usually so hot in there so I have had to improvise how I do this. Let all the windows down, put up the giant windshield sun blocker, have a fan and lastly I bought some sun blockers for my side windows too.

12:00 pm Microbiology. This is the first class I have friends in actually. Most of this class consist of labs. Last week we grew our own bacteria and practiced transferring it without getting it on us or anything else. So that was fun.

1:50 pm Microbiology has ended and I plan on heading back to the library for about 40 minutes. Get back to studying. This time in between class is really helpful with getting my work done, although, I still usually have plenty to do when I get home.

3:00 pm My fitness class… I am not in shape at all and this is the most I’ve had to work out before. First day I was thinking, “will I die?” Like so serious LOL. But, I’m still alive. This class normally is a lot of push-ups, pull-ups and cardio. There’s more I just can’t remember but it’s rough. Thought about dropping it but I had to be stronger than that cause I needed the class to keep my scholarship. It’s been about a month though and I feel like I am already seeing results. I can do the work without feeling like i’m dying every second now. This class feels so long though. I always think it’s over then there’s another workout…

3:50 pm I rush to go change out of my sweaty clothes because it 100 degrees outside and I can’t bare another moment in them. There have been times that it was so hot and I was rushing and I noticed I was shaking. I finally make it into the main building with nice air conditioning.

4:30 pm Intro to oral communication. This class is really hard for me because it is the class of speeches. Which I am not very good at. But the good thing about this class is that it focuses mainly on improving communication skills in general rather than just speeches. I really need this class but some how I am doing better in my Physiology and Anatomy class after an exam than I am doing in this class. I have definitely already learned a lot from this class though. I might give a few blog post on it one day.

5:45 pm class is over for the day and I can go home. I usually listen to a podcast of some sort on the way home. I really like conspiracy podcast the most to listen to and self improvement podcast. I get home then I rush to eat because by the time I get home, I’m starving to death (exaggerating). Then following this I pretty much just watch TV and you tube for the rest of the night then sleep.

I don’t know if this was actually interesting for anyone to read, but I like reading them myself so I though I would make one. As you can see, I don’t really do much socializing throughout the day. College is normally where the big socializing is at but I find myself hiding more often. It’s just so crowded. I plan on transferring next year to a closer college with more friends so it won’t stay like this. Lastly, sorry that my post haven’t been very consistent lately, school has started back and I am trying to keep a 3.9 GPA without going crazy. I definitely am trying to get a schedule in place, I just have to figure out my school schedule better first. Thank you for reading and if you liked it maybe leave a like and follow.
