Do you get bored and uninspired easily?

Today’s blog is going to be more of a can you relate type of blog rather than a solution type blog. I do have a few reasons as to why this may be happening though. But I am unsure if they are the main culprit for everyone. This is because I haven’t quite figure out how to get this problem under control myself. Getting bored easily with pretty much everything has been a big problem I’ve dealt with throughout my whole 19 years of life. If anyone has any solutions themselves, let me know. Like I said, I get bored from just about anything. It ranges from hobbies to people, food, items, music, lifestyle things, just anything. I don’t think it’s the most healthy thing to do.

The first example I can think of is my hobbies. I have like a billion different hobbies. I drop one then I start another. Here’s just a short list of some of the hobbies I have started up. Most of which I do not take part in now.

  1. Singing (Has stuck with me most of my life)
  2. Piano (On and off)
  3. Skateboarding
  4. Photography (EyeEm username: ffulous)
  5. Cosmetology (2 yrs.)
  6. Yoga
  7. Jump rope
  8. Archery
  9. The recorder
  10. Reading
  11. Drawing
  12. Interior design
  13. Fashion
  14. Dance (1 summer)
  15. Swimming
  16. Exercise (LOL hardly do this)

That’s all I can think of on that but it’s a lot.

I can’t seem to put my finger on exactly why I do this, but I can throw out a few Ideas.

  1. Feeling like it’s a job/ obligation rather than fun

I noticed even if i’m only playing a game, I get tired of playing it eventually if I have to do it on a daily bases. It feels like the fun runs out as soon as I feel like there is an obligation to do it, as if it becomes a job. Or if I start a game and I let my game deteriorate or get behind on something in it, I feel like I’ve failed. I don’t feel like putting in time and effort.

2. Time consuming

Sometimes the things you once loved to do no longer fit comfortably into your life schedule. Then when you try to do them, you feel like they are wasting your time that you could be spending doing more important things or even relaxing from a tough day. Getting bored because your time could be spent some other way.

3. Commitment problems

Feeling like I have to go somewhere or be with someone against my own wishes. I am an introvert obviously, so that may be a reason why I feel this way. Some people do things that they really don’t feel like doing. Maybe it’s just called lazy, not sure. Committing to something means I have to be there every time. especially as an introvert, we need our space sometimes.

4. Expectations to high

An example for getting bored of someone is putting your expectations of them or how a person should be, too high. Maybe you envisioned someone to be one way then they turned out to stray from that by a long shot. Or looking to hard into someone until you see all their flaws and that’s it. Completely ignoring all the good things that come with that person. For this one I could definitely come up with a solution. Just to stop expecting everyone to be perfectly how you envision. I also should stop seeing only peoples flaws and how they’ve wronged me. I’m kind of like this with myself too.

This is only a few reasons I could think of for why I do this but there is probably more. If I think of anymore, I will make sure to add them in. Maybe all these things are just my way of finding myself. But maybe not. Hopefully someone could relate. Maybe there’s some type of psychology behind all this that can help me stop this. Hopefully I won’t get bored of blogging but probably will, not going to lie. I will try my very hardest not to despite my problem.
